"FOR GOD! WHO IS HE?"
God is the Creator. Gen. 1-1
He created Heaven
He created the Earth
Nehemiah 9:6 "Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee." (GOD!)
He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
This describes the GOD that John is speaking of "that so loved us! Yes! the whole world of people "whosoever believeth".
"For God so loved" "as the father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love". John 15:9
"For God so loved the world" yes! all the people of the world. That includes you and me and all the people living in His Universe.
"God so loved that he gave! He gave his best; He gave his only begotten son!”
The reason he gave his son was "that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish!"
"That whoever believeth should have everlasting LIFE"
When we believe in and receive Jesus Christ as our own personal Savior we are born into His Kingdom. At once our past sins are forgiven! What next? Mark 10:17, The rich young ruler! called him Master and asked, What shall I do that I might inherit eternal life?
Vs. 18 "None good but God.
Vs. 19. "Keep the commandments. The young ruler said "these things I have done from my youth" Vs. 20
Vs. 21. "Then Jesus beholding him, loved him and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me."
So, the word believe means that we take up the cross and follow Jesus. We continue, Friends, that is the only way that we can prove that we are saved and love Jesus.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (in hell) but should have everlasting life. It means we love and serve him all of our lives! (Bear His cross)
He gave himself to us so we are called upon to give ourselves to Him!
Romans 12:l Paul says "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
Vs. 2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The world needs proof!
The only way we can prove God's will is to live according to God's will! Each Christian needs to read and re-read the book of Romans! OK!
By Rashie Kennedy, Sr.
For whosoever may read this: I have written my own experience.
In the early 4o's I gave myself, my wife, and my two children to the Lord, and later another child I gave to the Lord!
Namely, my wife, Myrtie, my son, Rashie, Jr., my daughter, Hilda Grace, and my last son, Beverly Shea Kennedy.
Each one of them backed me up fully all the days of my active ministry. To God be the Glory!
There is none perfect, no, no one! I have tried to keep myself on God's ALTAR! Even though I failed many times! God's forgiveness is real! Let us show Him that we love and appreciate it!
